Indicative. Every OEM line is quoted individually because the tooling situation differs by part.
What an OEM project actually looks like
1. Choose the reference part. Pick something from the catalogue, or send us a sample you want matched. We tell you whether it can be branded as-is or needs changes.
2. Approve artwork and packaging. You send vector artwork; we produce a physical pre-production sample. Nothing is mass-produced until you sign that off.
3. First production run. Typically 200–1,000 pieces for a first order. We inspect to the agreed AQL and send photos before the goods leave.
4. Scale. Once the SKU has proven itself in your market, reorder quantities go up and unit costs come down into the deeper bands.
Branding we can apply
- Laser etching or pad printing on metal and plastic housings.
- Custom anodised colours on aluminium parts (black, red, blue, grey as standard).
- Retail box, blister or bag with your artwork and barcode.
- Serial numbers and QR codes for warranty tracking.
- Firmware with your defaults locked — bind phrase, VTX tables, PID profiles.
- Your own language manual, printed or as a QR-linked PDF.
Questions buyers ask
How much does private label cost?
Tooling-free branding is usually a small per-unit adder rather than a lump sum — most projects land between 3% and 8% on unit cost at the minimum run. Tooling-backed changes are quoted individually and the mould cost is a one-off.
Do I own the tooling?
Yes, if you pay for it. It is stated on the invoice and we will sign a tooling ownership letter if you need one for your own records.
Can you match a competitor's product?
Often, yes. Send us the product and we will tell you whether an existing mould can be modified or whether a new one is required. Be aware that copying patented or trademarked designs is not something we will do.
What artwork format do you need?
Vector. AI, EPS or a PDF with outlined fonts. A PNG is not usable for print or etching — it will be rejected and delay your run.
