- Holybro Pixhawk 4 is an open-source professional autopilot co-developed by Holybro and the PX4 project, widely adopted for multirotor, fixed-wing, VTOL and rover UAV projects. Powered by dual-processor architecture, this mature flight controller delivers reliable autonomous flight performance for drone development, education, mapping and inspection tasks.
- It adopts STM32F765 FMU main processor (216MHz Cortex-M7, 2MB flash, 512KB RAM) plus STM32F100 IO co-processor. Dual-IMU redundant sensors including ICM-20689, BMI055 gyro-accel, IST8310 magnetometer and MS5611 barometer enhance flight safety via cross-sensor data verificationPX4. Micro-SD card slot supports blackbox flight log storage for post-flight analysis.
- Rich onboard interfaces provide up to 16 PWM outputs, multiple UART, I2C, SPI and dual CAN-bus ports. It supports SBUS, DSM, CPPM RC input protocols, compatible with mainstream digital-signal ESCs. Dual-battery voltage-current monitoring enables real-time power-status check. Dedicated ports simplify wiring for GPS, telemetry module, payload sensors and peripheral devices
- Fully compatible with open-source PX4 and ArduPilot firmware. Users can configure parameters, set missions and monitor flight status via ground-control-station software. Built-in safety switch and buzzer give clear audible and visual alarm feedback. Compact lightweight 15.8-g design brings minor payload burden for various drone frames
- Please note it is legacy hardware; check official firmware version before flashing. It works with PM02 / PM07 power-module. Widely used for aerial survey, power inspection, drone research-and-development and educational projects. It is a proven cost-effective open-source autopilot solution for custom UAV building.
